That's the thing about going to a restaurant; no leftovers!
Until my husband's parents go up in years, we had pitch ins at their home and there were always leftovers. Now, everyone is working long hours and they are in assisted living, so we had a very nice meal at a restaurant and everyone goes home with extra weight but no leftovers!
We went out for Thanksgiving this year, too. I think it was a good idea -- way less stress.
I hope someone in your party remembered a doggie bag for your adorable doggie.
