silly little love songs...

If you were going to make a Valentine's Day mixed CD, what is an essential song?

My wedding song(s);

Power of Two by the Indigo Girls ("the closer I'm bound in love to you / the closer I am to free)

and Native Melody, originally by Talking Heads, but our version is Shawn Colvin's re-imagining (I can't tell one from the other / Did I find you, or you find me? / There was a time / Before we were born / If someone asks, this where I'll be).

I could make a zillion valentine's day mixes. In fact, I'll make love songs next week's TTT....

For me, it's a tie:

"Who knows how long I've loved you? I know I love you still. Shall I wait a lonely lifetime? If you want me to, I will." I Will, The Beatles White Album

"More than you know, man of my heart I love you so. Lately I find you're on my mind more than you know." More than You Know, an oldie recorded by everyone over 60. My favorite version is Streisand from Funny Lady
